Due to the CoVID-19 pandemic, all the Major European Football (Soccer) Leagues were suspended indefinitely. However football returned to action amidst the pandemic when Germany’s Bundesliga resumed the season. Afterwards La Liga, Premier League and finally Serie A recommenced the seasons, but not the UEFA Champions League. Anyhow French Football Federation decided not to resume the Ligue 1 season. UEFA Champions League being the prominent inter club European tournament, authorities came up with solutions to resume the season. Therefore here we bring forth you the facts you need to know about the resumption of UEFA Champions League 2019/20 season.

Out of 8, round of 16 fixtures only 4 have been completed. Therefore another four 2nd leg matches are yet to be completed. Paris Saint Germain, Atalanta, RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid have already been advanced to the quarter finals. Remaining fixtures will take place on 7th and 8th August. On 17th June, UEFA announced the dates with doubts on venues between home team’s stadium and a neutral stadium in Portugal.
